Principal's Message

On behalf of the entire faculty, I want to welcome everyone back to Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School. To those of you who are new to the school, we extend our sincerest welcome.
This website is designed to provide essential information you will need to know during the year. A well organized student has a better chance of being a successful student. Please take time to familiarize yourself with our school policies. These policies are designed to maintain a school environment that is conducive to excellence in learning.

Each of you is now a part of a profoundly rich tradition of excellence that has been established over the last 42 years. Our hope is that you will choose to add to our history of academic, athletic and artistic excellence. We strongly encourage you to get involved in some sort of co- curricular activity. You will not find a school with a wider array of clubs, teams, bands and various other organizations than we have at Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School.

Once again, our 2004-05 graduates have earned an impressive tally of scholarships and bursaries at colleges and universities throughout Canada and the United States. We are extremely proud of these fine young people and the role that we have played in supporting their pursuit of excellence.

In the last two years, your classmates have garnered city championships in nearly every sport in which high school athletes compete. In addition, we have recently captured numerous gold medals at both regional and provincial competitions.

Our 2003-04 staging of the Anne of Green Gables and last year’s production of Into the Woods has proven that Lo-Ellen Park’s performing arts program continues to flourish.
Best wishes for a successful school year. I am confident in saying that you will be as successful as you choose to be.

Sincerely,
C. Runciman
Principal
