Social Science

Social science is, in its broadest sense, the study of society and the manner in which people behave and impact on the world around us.  Each of these subjects uses a range of approaches to the study of society - from the collection and analysis of statistics to the collation of responses to questionnaires and interviews. Like the other sciences, the social sciences evolve through the interplay of the ideas and theories of academics, and the evidence that supports or refutes them.

Social sciences help students explore the world around them.  By looking at history, geography, law, civics, and sociology, students dissect the world in which they live and discover a path for themselves.
